First off, congratulations Michele! I felt your same joy 30 years ago. Yes, I did have to force myself into those dingy church basements, but the sober tribe I found there threw big dances and picnics and went on camping trips. There were plenty of good books on recovery in the library. For decades I hoped that being the one happy, clear-eyed water drinker in the crowd would start a trend. Great to hear it's finally happening!
