Hi on Us— I started selling narrative style original acrylics on Etsy in 2013. I've been a freelance painter full time for 40 years. I'm a fast painter so can sell 9x12s on canvas panels (easy to mail!) for under $100 and do okay. Larger & framed are more of course. (People who will pay art gallery prices don't shop on Etsy for art.)

Sales were really slow for years until a successful Etsy jeweler showed me how to tweak the keywords. Look at ten other painters with work like yours who have successful sales and are on page 1 in a search. Go find their keywords and write everyone down. Now look at those 130 keywords for similarities. Voila! My sales went from yuck to wow on a couple of years. Not Christina P wow, but 5K-10k a year isn't too bad for work I love to do while watching movies in the evening by a fire with the dog. And I only sell originals. Good luck!
