Oh Ali, I can't imagine withstanding that kind of relentless pressure. I might have caved. My brother, sister and I didn't have great role models for parenthood and none of us reproduced. My mom said, "If you decide to have children don't think for a moment I would want to babysit them." Whew. I answered intrusive questions with, "I'm not going to inflict childhood on another human being." Decades later still no regrets and some damn fine dogs.
