Rose & Rosie c 2000

Somehow Rosie was given a special dispensation from the Universe. Maybe she did it without asking because she was that powerful. My dog grabbed my soul, dragged it out of my body and took me a little way up the rainbow tunnel where we could see a glimpse of the Other Side. She said in clear words, “ I want you to see where I’ll be waiting for you.” — from the Intro

The big picture is always more instructive and seldom what we expect. Life is pretty much a series of tiny strokes with a small brush every day after day. That is where the stories come from — the little details and emotions in the moment. I seldom take a step back to see the whole.

How do all those details fit together? What lessons could and should be learned? Usually someone else has to make me consider a bigger picture. Sometimes I get a cosmic kick in the pants. This time my dog showed me there is a much better place, and that love is an eternal dance of grace. Rosie giving me a glimpse of forever and other cosmic clues that pop up throughout my memoir inspired the Celestial Side in Chapter 1.
