Baroque coco 37: Green Man 2001

Of course everyone traveling to Sol 3 from the light knows the odds are dicey.

By definition, Earth is Hell. It is also exciting as hell, and the 70% who transit a life there with some degree of success get to tell entertaining stories of weird times for all time — and that about the only justifiable season to go there. Okay, there is a lot to be said about being of service to others, but with agreements and connections in place, powerful assistance can be transmitted from the Celestial side without the pain and trauma of ‘going physical’ on an actual planet. — from Chapter 1

Sometime in the 1980s. I found a large folio in an antique shop entitled Arte Italiana Industriale et Decorativa. It was a collection of patterns for fanciful carvings and decorative finishes from MDCCCXCVI. A hundred years later I was inspired by the flowing sketches to paint the fanciful Baroque coco series. Over five years I painted several 10x10 inch versions of the ‘Green Man’ because something about that face made me really happy. Every time I finished one it would sell, so I would have to paint another for myself… and then another.

This fourth version I didn’t get to keep either, but while perusing binders of slides of old paintings as I wrote this book, I saw my spirit guide Gamdi in this image. Gamdi occasionally shows up with messages, and I‘m pretty sure he was there for my planning session on the other side.

The above quote ties in with Gamdi’s warning that my blueprint for this life was in need of better editing. I ignored him.
